Reid School of Music is offering four scholarships for taught master’s programmes at University of Edinburgh in UK. Each award is worth £5,000. The scholarship will be awarded to a student who is accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate taught Master’s programme of study within the Reid School of Music.
Application Deadline: 01 March 2017

Programmes Offered:

• All courses offered by the Reid School of Music.

Course Level:
Scholarships are available for master’s degree level at Reid School of Music.

Eligibility:

• The scholarship will be awarded to a student who is accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate taught Master’s programme of study within the Reid School of Music. To be eligible, applicants must have received an offer to study by the scholarship deadline.
• Awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit, the Bucher-Fraser scholarship requires candidates have, or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 honours degree at undergraduate level or the international equivalent.
• However, the selection panel will also take into account financial circumstances to ensure that as far as possible financial need does not impede a university education.

Benefit:

Each award is worth £5,000 and is tenable for one academic year.

Applications are invited for Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies Scholarships to undertake graduate degree at Oxford University. Scholarships are available for UK (ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom and from a Muslim community), Asian and African students. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Scholarship covers 100% of University and college fees and a grant for living costs. Awards are made for the full duration of applicants fee liability for the agreed course.

Course Level:
Scholarships are available for graduate (full-time master’s or DPhil course) programme at Oxford University.

Eligibility:

• Applicant should be applying to start a new full-time master’s or DPhil course at Oxford.
• Applicant must be either ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom and from a Muslim community (with preference given to those from a financially disadvantaged household), or a national of, and ordinarily resident in, one of the eligible countries in Asia and Africa:
• Applicant should be intending to return to your country of ordinary residence once your course is completed.
• Applicant should be intending to undertake study in a field derived from or of relevance to the Islamic tradition, which is of relevance and/or benefit to the Muslim world.

Benefit:

The scholarship will cover 100% of University and college fees and a grant for living costs (of at least £14,296). Awards are made for the full duration of your fee liability for the agreed course.
