Computer Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI)

Computer-Assisted Personal Interview CAPI, Is the designed database management that will enable the researcher to reduce the money spent on paper works and time-consuming in data collecting, analysis and report writing.

This system allows researchers to collect responses from his/her respondent using his/her own mobile phone (android)/tablet and synchronize the information to dropbox or server. Later data will be downloaded from the server by statistician and then analyzed.

For an overview, 

CAPI is the part of CSPro which was developed by USA Census Bureau 

-CSPro it has been used by different government and Non-government institutions for surveys and census for many years. 

-CSPro is the most frequently used software for data entry and initial analyses of data from general surveys and population censuses

Parts of CSPro includes the following

1. CAPI-Computer assisted personal Interview

2. Data entry application

3. Batch editing

4. Tabulation application

5. Data dictionary
