Fully Funded PhD Studentship in 3D Printed Smart Repairs for Civil Structures,UK-2017

A Fully Funded PhD Studentship is available at the University of Strathclyde.  Successful applicants will work on the project entitled ‘3D Printed Smart Repairs for Civil Structures’ under the supervision of Dr Marcus Perry. The funding covers UK/EU student tuition fees and stipends in line with University rates (£14,653 per year).

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the Studentship  , an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:

• Successful candidates should: – have (or expect) a distinction pass at Master’s level, or a first class BEng/BSc Honours degree, or equivalent, in an Engineering or Physical Sciences subject; – be available to start in October 2017; – be comfortable working across disciplines in a practical lab environment.
• The experience of 3D printing, practical chemistry, development environments (e.g. LabVIEW), and programming are all advantageous but not essential.
